PLANS
Making contacts and learning more about the drabwurld itself. Aslan will also be making his way around the world map during the summer months and working to reverse the damage left in the Jabberwock's wake.

SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
During his first year in the drabwurld, Aslan will have traveled across a good portion of the world map, met and interacted with a number of people, and successfully tackled the rot problem left behind in the wake of the Jabberwhelp. He will spend all of June, July, and August trying to revitalize the land, especially the areas around Caer Glaem, the Cothromach, and the Station. He will be sending out a call sometime towards the end of May to ask people to join him in this endeavor. (Map of the Jabberwhelp's path.)

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May)
  • MARCH - Chatting it up with Waver Velvet! Discussions about Gilgamesh (that hooligan) and Jabberwhelp rot is very likely. Aslan will also meet Saber (Alter) and Rin Tohsaka for the first time later in the month!
  • APRIL - A meeting with Aragorn early in the month! Also sayin hi to Diarmuid at the new training grounds at Caer Glaem!
  • MAY - Towards the end of the month, Aslan sends out a call for those interested in healing the rot of the Jabberwhelp.
SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug)
  • JUNE - Aslan's journey around the world map begins. Attempts to heal the land of the Jabberwhelp's rot begin in earnest, starting in Caer Glaem.
  • JULY - Anti-shardbearer sentiments are acknowledged and ignored. Healing process continues.
  • AUGUST - Aslan arrives at the Station in early August. Still working on the rot-affected areas, possible run-in with forest golems on the rampage! Towards the end of the month, he will toe the border of Dorchadas and cross over into Unseelie lands.
FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov)
  • SEPTEMBER - Healing effort continues. A close call with patrols leads to a handy rescue by Wan, and Aslan's journey around the drabwurld ends. By the middle of September he will be back in Glaschu. Possibly attending the wreath festival in Treun.
  • OCTOBER 25-30 - Aslan attends Samhain. Possibly in human form.

The inviting rumble makes the puppies seem to snap to life again. One tackles the other, burying his face against his brother before they run off a little bit ahead, barking. They'll be back when she calls for them, but they'll never truly be far from her due to how they've been raised.

The young lady, on the other hand, seems to have trouble speaking for a moment, her skirts dropping to her sides. Despite having met and talked to the Black Shuck the year previous on Samhain, she found herself absolutely stunned, tilting her head up to look at him. It's then that a tingling feeling comes to her when she remembers that talk. There's a kind of warmth coming from him that is quite...different from the warmth the Shuck had radiated. Well, warm for the dog of death anyway. The Shuck had treated her kindly because she had treated him with the reverence Death deserved.

Some part of her was starting to think she should treat this lion the same way.

"Forgive my starin', I hadn't been quite expectin' you to talk, m'lord. It's not every day one comes across a talkin' animal, even in th' land of th' fae."

She notices the ice melting - how could she not, with eyes as curious as she has? - and it makes her smile. There doesn't seem to be anything dangerous about him aside from his size and form, and the melting ice makes something in her warm itself through in a way that has nothing to do with her rune heated cloak. Though as a hunter she couldn't help but be thankful that not all animals spoke human tongue, she had sometimes wondered what it would be like if more did, especially as a child.

"It would have been helpful a couple of years ago, I can assure you."

Although learning to understand her mother when she couldn't understand her had, perhaps, been part of the curse, there had been times when she would have preferred it, even if she would have just heard the same complaints over and over again.

"I have not seen you around before. Did you arrive recently with th' last lot?"

He hadn't been among the Unseelie at the feast, she would have known that, would have spotted him from a mile away. So he was Seelie then, or at least that was her guess.

"Aye. I'm sorry you had to come at such a time, m'lord. So much has happened an' you an' so many others were unprepared."

There's something about him that reminds her of the nights spent by the fireplace as a child, playing with her few toys while her mother sewed the tapestry she would eventually destroy. It's a sharp memory, full of warmth and tenderness that makes her chest ache and also some kind of bitterness because of her actions years later. Why that memory in particular was the one that came to her, she didn't know, but she was sure...

Merida kneeled, unsure if she could keep herself up on unsteady legs, cloak and skirts fanning out around her.

"Even I was unprepared."

That he was right about. The lords hadn't waited back home for her to mend the bond between her and her mother before going at each other's throats. Such was the way of warriors, she supposed, especially those that had been scorned as they had been by her words. Merida swallows that thought down, cupping her hands together in her lap as she gives a wry smile at his assessment.

"Aye. Well at th' very least this weather hasn't frozen us over yet."

Because she at least made sure to keep her dresses and cloak heated with a reapplication of the heating rune every so often. She raised her head, watching him sit with a bit of wonder on her face before she realizes something.

"Ah, forgive me, m'lord. My name is Merida."

No "of DunBroch", no "daughter of". Just Merida.

"Well I certainly hope not. Our walls won't be able to withstand it otherwise."

She's never heard anything like it, though Angus's own whinnying laughter comes to mind. She feels like giggling a bit at it, though not at his expense or anything, just friendly, and she does let out her own laugh before covering her mouth politely. The twinkle in his eyes makes her think that there's something more to him than it appears, like Saber and the other Servants. Merida's hand lowers from her mouth, smile knowing.

"Aslan...your name or a name?"

Curiosity killed the cat after all, and Merida was ever so curious.
