PLANS
Making contacts and learning more about the drabwurld itself. Aslan will also be making his way around the world map during the summer months and working to reverse the damage left in the Jabberwock's wake.

SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
During his first year in the drabwurld, Aslan will have traveled across a good portion of the world map, met and interacted with a number of people, and successfully tackled the rot problem left behind in the wake of the Jabberwhelp. He will spend all of June, July, and August trying to revitalize the land, especially the areas around Caer Glaem, the Cothromach, and the Station. He will be sending out a call sometime towards the end of May to ask people to join him in this endeavor. (Map of the Jabberwhelp's path.)

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May)
  • MARCH - Chatting it up with Waver Velvet! Discussions about Gilgamesh (that hooligan) and Jabberwhelp rot is very likely. Aslan will also meet Saber (Alter) and Rin Tohsaka for the first time later in the month!
  • APRIL - A meeting with Aragorn early in the month! Also sayin hi to Diarmuid at the new training grounds at Caer Glaem!
  • MAY - Towards the end of the month, Aslan sends out a call for those interested in healing the rot of the Jabberwhelp.
SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug)
  • JUNE - Aslan's journey around the world map begins. Attempts to heal the land of the Jabberwhelp's rot begin in earnest, starting in Caer Glaem.
  • JULY - Anti-shardbearer sentiments are acknowledged and ignored. Healing process continues.
  • AUGUST - Aslan arrives at the Station in early August. Still working on the rot-affected areas, possible run-in with forest golems on the rampage! Towards the end of the month, he will toe the border of Dorchadas and cross over into Unseelie lands.
FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov)
  • SEPTEMBER - Healing effort continues. A close call with patrols leads to a handy rescue by Wan, and Aslan's journey around the drabwurld ends. By the middle of September he will be back in Glaschu. Possibly attending the wreath festival in Treun.
  • OCTOBER 25-30 - Aslan attends Samhain. Possibly in human form.

[Being a Servant meant that the weather didn't harm her, but that didn't mean Saber didn't feel the cold. And that's what the last couple weeks had been - cold. She'd spent so much time ensuring the Unseelie people in Dorchadas were thawed out and seen to, and then her and a couple other Unseelie had traveled to Briste to help those natives out with the freeze brought upon them all by the Roc. Saber was cold, she was tired, and she wanted to go home.

Someone in some place in some time that was not her own said that home was where the heart was. So Saber headed back to the Barrel where the woman she loved resided.

The king could have just teleported directly there, but she decided to walk the last few miles along the shore. The sea air down south was warming and it was a bit relaxing to be somewhere alone for an hour or so, where she wouldn't be called to attend to things. She vowed to not even check her locket until the next day. Truly, she could think of one sure-fire way to get warm when she got to the Barrel.

For the moment, she didn't want to be the Winter King. She didn't even really want to be King Arthur. No, she just wanted to be Arturia. Turned inward were her thoughts, her eyes on the sea, that she didn't immediately notice the presence of another...]

Saber only glanced over at first when she finally drew close enough that her instincts informed her that she wasn't alone. Oh... it was a lion. Odd to see a lion in this world. She went a few more steps before it hit her.

Coming to a sudden halt, Saber locked her eyes on him and stared. There was a lion. In the Drabwurld. RIGHT THERE.

The king literally stopped breathing as looked upon the magnificent beast. No, he was more than a beast. HE WAS A LION.

Eyes sparkling with childish delight that surpassed the joy Saber felt when presented with the best food there could be, Saber trotted over to the lion. He was so gorgeous. Regal. Perfect. Just like a lion should be.

For a moment, Saber looked like she was going to launch herself at the lion, to hug him and bury her face in his mane, when she somehow managed to stop herself. What if he was someone Important and wouldn't appreciate affection from random Unseelie kings? Color rose upon her pale cheeks as she reined herself in.

"Um... Hello."

"..."

Oh. My. God. The lion talked.

Saber felt something bubble up inside her chest, something light and bright, something youthful and free. Something that cared nothing for wars or conflict, of wishes or grails, that brought to mind memories of seeing her foster father, Sir Ector, for the first time upon his horse in full armor, the banner of Camelot streaming in his grip as he rode away from their house at King Uther's call, while she gripped Kay's arm in utter wonderment over the magnificence.

How long ago had that been?

"I did not think you not real," Saber replied in a soft voice. "My own imagination cannot create such without knowing it is false." Not like the way her mind could always recreate that red hill where she'd lost it all.

Saber took an eager step forward. A daring one, in her own mind. Tempting herself to reach out and touch, but she did not. And then she noticed something.

"...you are taller than I am." If they counted the mane.

As Saber was shorter than just about anyone else as barely peaking five feet in height, she normally didn't even register it consciously. But this was a LION and he was taller than her. She felt small.

That wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

"I have never seen a lion this close before," Saber replied. "In my world, lions do not speak as men do. You are far more than them."

Saber's hand reached out but stopped just short of her fingertips brushing the mane. She then looked down at her hand and looked at it, like it betrayed her. Hand dropping quickly to her side, she hid it behind her back, color flushing her cheeks again.

"My apologies, I am--" Saber paused. "I am Arturia."

She frowned a little. Saber. She should have said Saber.
