"I tell no one any story but his own." (entranceway)

All right, so.

Since Aslan is basically the equivalent of GOD in his world, that means, aside from being practically omnipotent, he is also omniscient - i.e. there is canonical evidence for him knowing not only about what happens in worlds that aren't his own, but also about people (their names, etc) before he even talks to them. For the sake of the game, this will obviously be toned down in terms of what he can/cannot know about in-game events and people, but just so I'm not stepping on any toes, please fill out the following form so I know what he can know about your character!

Name: Character Name | Character Journal
Race: I.e., is your character human or something else? Can he know that?
World Information: Canon Name | Canon Information (a wiki or something like it is fine)

Summarize- What kind of place does your character come from? Is it Earth? Another planet? Have any major, world-shaking events happened recently? What kind of creation/god mythos is there?
Personal Information: A link to the character's application or some other informational source would be great, along with a brief summary of the character's life.
Issues to Be Explored: Since Aslan is very much about counseling those who need it, what, in particular, would you like Aslan to pick up about your character and address? Can be positive or negative.
Religious Affiliation: Is your character devout in some shape or form?
Plot: Is there anything your character is doing in the House that he might know about/be interested in?
Stipulations: Can Aslan mention any of the above information publicly? If so, how much?
Tagging: Are you okay with Aslan tagging your character's posts?

Just as a note: Aslan, as a rule, will never disclose any personal information about your character to others. He isn't the type to intervene either so even if your character is dastardly and evil, he probably won't do anything about it. Free Will, and all that.

Also, regarding fourth-walling: If you think your character would ICly know about Aslan (i.e., he/she has read the books or seen the films), feel free to recognize him! Since he's from the end of Voyage of the Dawn Treader, though, I'd rather people didn't get too much into the details of the later books.

Name: Dean Winchester | [personal profile] righteously
Race: Human. Also, a vessel for the Archangel Michael if that matters!
World Information: Supernatural | Canon Information (the history is... quite extensive, so I included my app with a sumarized history section.)

Basically, the Supernatural world is a world similar to ours but with a much more present religious aspect. Angels and demons are active and easily found- all major pantheon gods exist but the Christian God is considered to be the most powerful and omniscient of them (arguably). Most other supernatural creatures exist- even the rare, uncommon ones.

Personal Information: See linked app!

Issues to Be Explored: Dean is righteous and loyal. He will always do the right thing, no matter the cost, and he will sacrifice himself for anyone he loves. He spends his life saving people, but he has the lowest sense of self worth in the multiverse. He's lonely, really, a sad guy who loses most everyone he loves. One of the most prominent lines in his canon re: him- "You don't think you deserve to be saved."
Religious Affiliation: Dean's been given irrefutable proof re: heaven, god, everything. He's been to heaven, and he's bffs with an angel. He doesn't, however, like God. He feels like God's basically a deadbeat dad who abandoned people to suffer and die while he shirked on his responsibilities, left the angels to cause chaos (and the apocalypse).
Plot: Trying to save everyone! As per the usual.
Stipulations: As much as you want, man. He's used to people knowing his life story.
Tagging: Yup!

It also might be notable that in his cannon, his life has been scribed by a prophet and, according to an angel, are later going to be known as the Winchester Gospels- basically, an addition to the bible.

Feel free to disregard anything that makes you feel religious discomfort, or dismiss it as a part of his world that wouldn't be applicable in Aslan's reality.

New York City, circa the early 1930's/Late Prohibition Era.
A handful of immortals exist in this world, a feat achieved by a few alchemists who drank a Grand Panacea back in the 1700's, summoning a 'demon' to complete the elixir. These immortals have the ability to devour one another by placing a hand on another immortal's head, absorbing their body and memory. An imperfect copy of the panacea has been recreated in recent years, leading to a few more immortals coming into existence, mostly among two prominent Mafia families. More recently, all employees at Nebula Corporation's NYC headquarters have been given the panacea, their immortality tested in the recent 'Mist Wall' incident, an explosive act of terrorism which traces back to imprisoned immortal Huey LaForet and his cult followers.

Jacuzzi is not immortal, and has only recently become aware that such beings exist.

Personal Information: Here.

Issues to Be Explored: courage & cowardice, 'Selling Out' morally to protect his friends... in canon, Jacuzzi has recently been cornered and pressured to strike a bargain with the Martillo family to give them a cut of his gang's profits. He was also willing to attain immortality for his gang in order to defend themselves, though this never came about. Believing superstitions. What makes a person 'good' or 'bad'.

Religious Affiliation: I'm pretty sure Jacuzzi was baptized Catholic, canon doesn't specify his ethnicity but I assume he was born to immigrant parents in Chicago. The light novels mention that his gang was friendly with at least one priest, who lets them bury eight friends killed by mafia in the churchyard although they don't have money for coffins, and gives an impromptu 'proper burial' for them. He's far from devout, but has seen christian charities at work in the poorer areas and for the most part respects pious people in a sheepish sort of way- after all, he does smuggle liquor during a time where religious people are some of the most vocal objectors, and he commits plenty of small-time thievery. In his own defense he'd probably claim he's done 'the sacraments that count', but would consider himself a sinner and probably not too interested in cleaning up his act, or seriously considering what happens in the afterlife... which he's uneasily guilty about, but not terribly, unless directly confronted with it.

Plot: He's fairly new and not too involved yet.
Stipulations: Sure.

--Warning! This is going to contain spoilers for Dangan Ronpa, all the way to the endgame.--

Name: Chihiro Fujisaki | [personal profile] petabytes
Race: Human
World Information: Dangan Ronpa | Canon Information

Chihiro comes from modern day Earth - with the exception of the existence of Hope's Peak Academy, it's assumed to be the same Earth we all know. She isn't aware, but by the point she's taken from, civilization has been dismantled by "The Worst, Most Despair-Inducing Event in the History of Mankind" - Chihiro's memories of this event have been erased, and she's been isolated from the outside world, so she has no reason to believe that things haven't continued as normal.

Personal Information: Application!

Chihiro was selected to attend the elite Hope's Peak Academy, and given the title of "Super High School Level Hacker" - that is, the most talented high school age programmer in all of Japan. The timid Chihiro is soft-spoken, retiring, and gentle, and struggles with a poor self-image. Among her greatest desires is to become strong and dependable.

Issues to Be Explored: Someone used to dealing with "Sons of Adam" and "Daughters of Eve" will have trouble categorizing Chihiro. She is biologically male, but presents as female. As of this point in the roleplay, she is unsure of her identity. Whether she's a boy, a trans girl, or some variant of genderfluid is something she hasn't yet figured out - she admires masculinity and equates it with strength and power, but is also unwilling to give up her feminine appearance and interests.
Religious Affiliation: Being both a technical person and a resident of the largely areligious nation of Japan, Chihiro has no particular religious leanings, though she does have a vague belief in the concept of a "soul".
Plot: Chihiro is involved with the Resistance, working with the network, archiving and categorizing data, and helping to head research and development.
Stipulations: Chihiro's "secret" - that is, her biological sex - is something that she's trusted with only a select few people. Aslan would know that Chihiro wouldn't want it widely known.
Tagging: Of course!

Race: Human, though she also has a hidden ability that has not yet been revealed in her canon.
World Information: Teen Wolf | Canon Information

Lydia is from Beacon Hills, California, which is basically a world similar to the normal one save for some freaky and supernatural things happen. Thus far, there have been werewolves, kanima (sort of a weird were-lizard) and druids/darachs, or people who can do magic. The show's creator has also revealed that there will be a major plot next season with the kitsune myth (or werefox).
Personal Information: Linked app!

Issues to Be Explored: She's someone who is very susceptible to visions, hallucinations, mental influence, etc. There's a strong suspicion that this has something to do with her as-of-yet-unmentioned abilities, but they've kind of contributed towards some negative side effects (nightmares, for one). She's also a person who conceals her intellectual strengths and really cares about what people think of her, even if she doesn't show it.
Religious Affiliation: Nope.
Plot: Not yet, but I'm sure she'll be helping any one of her friends or those that need assistance with translations/sciencey projects. Some of her hidden smarts definitely come in handy from time to time.
Stipulations: Probably not the part about the visions, since really only her friends know about that. But everything else (including her intelligence, which she's actually beginning to embrace) is fair game.
Tagging: Absolutely! I love Aslan. (And once Lydia manages to convince herself she's not imagining a giant lion, she will too.)

World Information: Final Fantasy VII | YOU KNOW THE DEETS ON THAT PLACE here is a link regardless.

Summarize- Gaia. Creation is...kind of unknown, assumed to be the Cetra. Magical hippies, all peace loving and planet hugging. The mythos are all over the place - people know about angels and churches, but don't actually partake in relgioius activities, so I don't even know what that's about. The Lifestream is where life begins and where it goes back to, like the soul of the Planet.

Personal Information: Here be her app.

Issues to Be Explored: Confusion over her powers and her place in the world, frustration over her magic not working quite the same way here as it does back on Gaia, worry for the friends she's left behind, worry for the friends she has here.
Religious Affiliation: She is spiritual - she tends to 'pray to the Planet', which I see as her praying like anyone would to their deity. She hasn't been doing it much here since she's not back on her Planet, but she'll probably start up again - like some meditation type stuff.
Plot: Not sure - she's working in the clinic and diner mostly, taking care of people and frolicking out in the gardens when its pretty.
Stipulations: Maybe not her issues with her powers/Cetra stuff but anything else is fair!
Tagging: YES DO IT.

Name: "Meg" (not actually her real name that's what she goes by - real name unknown) | [personal profile] unregenerate
Race: Once upon a time, she was human. And she's still a human soul, she's just been twisted and warped by torture and being in Hell that any humanity is probably unrecognizable. If he's able to see souls, hers is pretty mutilated and awful looking. It makes people cringe when they can see it.
World Information: Supernatural | Supernatural wiki
Summarize- It's basically Earth, but with the supernatural being very real and very violent. There are groups of humans called hunters who do things like take care of ghosts, demons, shape shifters, and the like. They roam around like nomads.

Demons are humans who made a deal when they were alive, then given ten years to live before they're dragged down to Hell. They then have the humanity taken from them by being tortured for many many years (A year in Hell is equal to a month on Earth, so six months in Earth time is six years Hell time). Demons don't like it there, and prefer NOT being there, tyvm.
Personal Information: Here is her app.

Issues to Be Explored: Meg is kind of an open book, except when she's not. She will misdirect, mislead, and if all else fails, outright insult and belittle so someone won't keep digging at her. There are very few people she will be straight up with. Any issues she has are tied to her years of evil activities and her recent turn to something not quite as evil and wrong, but still not wholly good or pure. She's in the grey, though leaning a little more to the rough side of it. She's not comfortable with this new position of hers at all.
Religious Affiliation: Nope, unless it's the Temple of Meg
Plot: Not really, tbh. She might help out with resistance stuff, but only if she can get something out of it (like enjoyment). Otherwise she's just kind of roaming the halls, harassing people. Being friendly, you know.
Stipulations: Go for it. She will be livid, though. She can hold a grudge like no other.

Race: Not exactly human anymore - she's a magical girl! Her soul is located inside a soul gem she keeps with her at all times.
World Information: Puella Magi Madoka Magica | wiki for all your needs.

Summarize- Earth but with magical girls! Nobody sees these girls fight, since when they typically do they're entering a different plane of reality entirely to fight their enemies - witches. magical girls are super strong, and Homura here has the ability to manipulate time!

Personal Information: Here's her application.

Homura was once super shy, nervous, stuttering and sickly. She didn't have many friends, so when she finally makes one she kind of clings to her for support and validation. Homura now, after living through several timelines and watching her friends die and even being forced to end their lives, is standoffish, slightly cold and keeps others at a distance. Better to do that than to get attached, ok?
Issues to Be Explored: Hoooo boy. Homura is a very lonely girl, with few friends and seeing as she's had to watch them die/kill some of them at some point, she's a little hesitant to let someone close. Not to mention she's not exactly human anymore, something not revealed to her until after the fact, and while she's dealt with it on the surface that's something that requires a lot of time to actually deal with.
Religious Affiliation: None that I'm aware of.
Plot: Welp she'll be arriving soon, but that's all I've got right now. /o/
Stipulations: Probably not in Homura's case, she's a very private person and if she does open up she'll quickly clam up if her issues are talked about at large.
Tagging: Yesss she needs to meet more magical animals!

→ The struggle Lena has to fit in when she's so different.
→ The guilt she feels over her actions having major consequences.
→ Having both Light and Dark inside of her.

Religious Affiliation: Not really. She believes in ghosts and knows there's an Otherside, but that's it.

Name: Lucifer | [personal profile] castdown
Race: Archangel! (Of the fallen, hell-scarred kind.)
World Information: Supernatural | Canon Information

Like it was said above, Supernatural is pretty much our world with the addition of supernatural monsters, demons, angels, and gods. The Christian God is heavily implied to have created everything, and demons and angels are major players in the series. Heaven exists and (in Lucifer's time) is ruled over by the Archangels Michael and Raphael. God is a deadbeat dad absent, having relocated to Earth after Lucifer's fall and concealing himself from His angels. (He is currently posing as Chuck Shurely, prophet of the Lord and author of the Winchester Gospels. He probably thinks he's funny.)
Personal Information: Here!

Issues to Be Explored: Lucifer is a mess of issues. He loves and hates his family. He wants to come home, but is too proud and too self-righteous to ask for forgiveness. He killed his little brother and doesn't really know how to deal with guilt, let alone how to try and reconnect with him in Wonderland. He doesn't want to fight Michael but he's following the Apocalypse's script anyway. He hates humanity but he's trying to win over Sam Winchester. ...there's a lot to work with.
Religious Affiliation: Ha. On one hand, Lucifer is still an archangel. He was made to love God (the capital-G Christian God), and still does. He doesn't acknowledge any god but his Father, and will slaughter anything that has the arrogance to call themselves such. On the other hand, he's pretty much lost his faith in God as his father - because what father would order one son to kill the other?

Plot: He doesn't care much about Wonderland's politics, and he isn't actually a member of the Resistance. That could change in the future, but for the moment he's treating this like a nice vacation from the Apocalypse. He may or may not start a garden.
Stipulations: Go ahead, he doesn't have much to hide.
Tagging: Absolutely!

Race: Normal ordinary human being, and yes
World Information: Firefly | Canon Information

Simon is from 500 years into the future (i.e. 2517), long after humanity has used up and abandoned Earth. He grew up on Osiris, one of the wealthier and more technologically-advanced planets in the system. The planets under Alliance control tend to be very advanced and full of hovercars and laser guns and all that other fun stuff, but the outer planets can be surprisingly low-tech, more like Wild West towns or farms than anything else.
Personal Information: Here.

Issues to Be Explored: Simon definitely feels the caregiver's burden, due to having to shoulder most of the responsibility for looking after his severely mentally ill sister. He doesn't regret giving up his life for her, but he still sometimes misses the stability (and wealth) of his former life and has trouble really, truly, finally accepting that he can never have it back and thinking of Serenity as home until the end of the series. He has also had to become somewhat paranoid and closed-off by necessity, never knowing who genuinely wanted to help him and who was there to harm him and his sister.
Religious Affiliation: None
Plot: He may be getting involved in the resistance in future.
Stipulations: I would be fine having the aforementioned caregiver's burden problems mentioned, but nothing specific about River's condition yet- this may change in future, though.

Race: Homunculus, go ahead and know it. What that is is fully explained below.
World Information: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood | Canon Information

In summary, it's an earthlike alternate world at about a dieselpunk tech level, in which a magical-ish science called "alchemy" plays a major role. God is a being that calls itself "The Truth" (as well as "the world", "the universe", "God", "All", "One", and "I am also... you") and is kind of a jerk, really. A malevolent being from beyond the Gate of Truth, called Father, plans to "strike God to Earth and become a perfect being", and to the latter end he removed from himself the parts of his soul that he considered to correspond to the seven sins. Greed himself is one of these.

Personal Information: Have an app.

Issues to Be Explored: Self-deception- although he makes a big deal about never lying, he's mostly been pretty successful in pretending that his deepest desire isn't simply to have friends. Grief and guilt and the inability to protect people, because the best friends he ever had all died trying to help him, very recently, in one case at his own hand. Duality, because he's actually living in the body of a human named Ling Yao of whom he is incredibly fond. And free will, because he was recently memory-wiped and forced back into the service of his Father, hence killing that last one of his people as I mentioned. Also, though he himself doesn't have an issue with it, his creation involved a Philosopher's Stone, which in this world is made of countless stolen souls and is a horrible thing and because of it his psychic presence has been described as "sickening".
Religious Affiliation: lolnope.
Plot: He's pretty much just making friends, and finding it extremely difficult to call them friends rather than "possessions".
Stipulations: Most of it, sure, but I'd rather be consulted before his dead friends come up and especially the one he killed himself.
Tagging: All right with me.

World Information: NBC's Hannibal | Canon Information

more or less, Will's Earth is the same Earth as most people's Earth; no magic, no witchcraft, no aliens, no werewolves, and no closets that lead to Narnia. the only difference is that people seem to be a lot more violent, as the show takes place over the span of about four to six months, and in those four to six months, the FBI investigates around ten different totally demented serial killers, which in our society would probably lead to people thinking the apocalypse was approaching, but in Will's world, people seem to take the news all right, all things considered.

Personal Information: have one app for personality, and one app for history.

now i doubt you want to read 12,000 words about the most boring guy in the world, so basically Will can be summed up as withdrawn, anxious, probably aspergers or PDD NOS, creative, brilliant, unique, and tortured. he grew up poverty stricken in Louisiana, moved around a lot, didn't make many friends, grew up to become a cop for the New Orleans police, got shot, retired to a teaching position at Quantico, and then got dragged back into the field. he has the unique ability of being able to empathise with anyone; that includes Aslan, if you so desire. it's mostly a skill he reserves for investigating murders, but it's not really something he can turn on and off, so he tends to get overwhelmed by people very easily.

Issues to Be Explored: it'd almost be easier to describe what issues he doesn't have. Will is somewhere on the Autism spectrum, or so he theorises. this makes social interaction difficult. he also grew up without a mother, and with a father who was scarcely around, and didn't stay in one place long enough to make lasting friends. he grew up very isolated, and never learnt how to interact with people correctly. he's also suffering PTSD from being wounded as a cop in New Orleans, and from every murder case he investigates with the FBI. and due to his overactive imagination and pure empathy, he's been in and out of the minds of the most demented, psychopathic, violent serial killers the world has ever seen on a weekly basis. and on top of all of that, he's got encephalitis and he has no idea, even after going for an MRI scan, as the results were hidden from him and he just thinks he's slowly descending into insanity. oh yeah, and his psychiatrist is a cannibal, and has been feeding him human meat for basically the entire series. his life sucks.
Religious Affiliation: this is hard to gauge. it isn't explicitly stated in canon, but due to a semi-conservative attitude, and growing up in the deep south, and his knowledge of religious figures, I'd venture to guess he was raised as some sort of Christian, though whether or not he still carries any of those beliefs is unknown. I wouldn't put him down as an atheist.
Plot: well hopefully someone comes along and lets him know that he's not actually going as insane as he thinks he is and actually has encephalitis, and maybe making some friends that aren't Hannibal Lecter, but if Aslan isn't the type to intervene, probably not.
Stipulations: everything minus Hannibal being a cannibal. anything you think is reasonable for Aslan to pick up on is probably reasonable.
Tagging: hell yes, he hallucinates a giant black stag following him pretty much everywhere he goes, if a talking lion shows up, it'll just be par for the course in Will's world.

World Information:There's Something in the Sea/Bioshock 2 | Something in the Sea at the Bioshock Wiki, Online SitS archive, day by day--currently incomplete, but the best thing out there.
Summarize-Mark's canon begins in Montauk, New York, Earth, 1967. I headcanon it that he grew up in Queens (because who is going to stop me.) But on his version of Earth, deep under the Atlantic Ocean, there is a beautiful art-deco city full of sometimes-objectivist-sometimes-communist-always-douchelords called Rapture. While Mark's New York is pretty mundane, the people of Rapture have some pretty wild ideas and abilities. Which is what happens when you get mad scientists ~unfettered by the constraints of petty morality~.
Mark's six year old daughter was kidnapped by these people, and before arriving in Wonderland, he spent over a year tracking her down and trying to bring her home.

Personal Information:I have been here way too long and Mark's application is long gone, but here is his wiki entry. To sum up, loving father, recent divorcee, struggling writer of purple prose, explorer of the unknown, has had it up to here with weird puzzle shit. His canon point is right before he heads down to Rapture, so he hasn't seen the city yet--although he's heard a lot about it while in Wonderland, up to and including his own fate.

Issues to Be Explored: Mark misses his home and his family, especially his daughter. And he's fairly certain that he's going to walk blindly into his own death, once Wonderland gets tired of him. After everything he's done, he's not going to get to bring his daughter home.
Because of this, Mark has has a lot of guilt and fear and despair hanging over him. But he's a determined kind of guy, and he keeps it at bay any way he can-- by distracting himself with research projects or other people's problems, or by deflecting it all onto some external thing, or simply through straight up denial. Sometimes this is healthy, sometimes it isn't.

Religious Affiliation: Raised some description of Protestant through the 20's and 30's. Possibly has some Jewish relatives around. A bit lapsed/inclined to doubt due to inherent skepticism and personal troubles, but he's got a little theology behind him.

Plot: Uhmmmm? I guess that would depend on your interests! Mark has strong feelings about the Mirrors, and how they aren't inherently evil monsters, even if a lot of them are nasty people.
He tries to keep on top of arrivals--who arrives from where/when--and maps, and other Wonderland facts and statistics. He has this half baked theory that Wonderland is sentient in itself, as a place, and that it--or some part of it--has some sort of dark agenda going.

He hates events that turn residents against each other, or force people to kill--he's seen enough of them to think that they're part of a pattern, and tries to do damage control on those to whatever extent he can. Which, sadly, isn't much.

He'd like to find a way to change Wonderland's "rules" so he can keep his memories after he leaves. Which I guess might be interesting because Narnia as a world has quite a few deeply written rules and unsolved mysteries of its own. I don't know, we'll play it by ear!

Stipulations: Nope, mention anything you like.
Tagging: Yes please! Mark might have even read the books, what with having a young daughter and all. Not that he'd know every little detail, but the name might ring a bell.

On the one hand he wants to be able to really support his brother with the knowledge of the years they spent on the road, but on the other a lot of those memories are traumatizing and having to live through them all over again is...well, harsh. While it's less an issue and more a semi-unhealthy quirk, he and Edward are heavily attached to one another to the point of utter co-dependence--Al searched the whole country when all evidence showed that Edward was dead, and Ed fell into alcoholism over in Germany from loneliness.
Religious Affiliation: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA okay so he does acknowledge higher beings, but he sure as hell doesn't follow any of them.
Plot: He's involved with ~The Resistance~, but that hasn't...really gone anywhere yet? He does his best to help people when trouble pops up, though. :3b
Stipulations: I would only say mentioning Trisha's revival to others would be off-limits? Since that's something he generally keeps to himself 'cause, y'know...kind of insanely illegal to attempt, cough. Al tends to keep his history to himself, that's the only really big Red Flag Whoop Whoop thing he actively remembers at the moment.

Name: Susan Sto-Helit | [personal profile] no_nonsense

There's also her mirror: [personal profile] mostly_inhuman*

Race: Susan's part human and part not. It gets complicated but her other half is Death.
World Information: Discworld | Discworld Wiki

So, Susan comes from a very silly place. It's a flat world carried through space on the backs of four elephants standing on top of the turtle the Great A'Tuin. Major world-shaking events happen on a semi-regular basis and anything with a significant amount of Belief exists. Fortunately we see the actual creator in several books and encounter several of the actual beings that orchestrate the universe, but they're all very run of the mill sort of chaps (aside from the Death of the Universe/Oblivion) and there's almost no belief (or Belief) centered around them so they don't really have a mythos.

Personal Information: App with a more in depth summary is here.

Susan is a super sensible character. She's related to the Anthropomorphic Personification of Death and, as such, knows exactly what is and is not real and how most of the Discworld works. As such, she's very jaded and hard to amaze with much of anything. But, jaded and serious as she is, she's been called the Personification of Helpfulness, and is generally a very kind person. (Kindness, of course, does not always equate friendliness.)

Issues to Be Explored: As I've mentioned with most of the psychic characters, Susan has this constant undercurrent of fear about becoming Less Than Human. She's worried that if she isn't Normal she'll start to forget how to be and end up forever alone, literally, like her Grandfather. (This is sort of a huge problem because it's an actual thing that can happen to her and has happened in the instance of her mirror.) She's also perpetually concerned about making sure people around her don't die. Anyone and everyone, universally. She served as the grim reaper for a while and she just can't abide people dying while there's something she can do to prevent it.

Otherwise, she's a pretty run of the mill Edwardian/Victorian lady. Uptight, polite, doesn't talk about feelings, the whole nine yards.
Religious Affiliation: Susan isn't exactly an athiest, but she certainly doesn't Believe in any gods. It doesn't do to go on Believing in things once you know they're real, so she doesn't. She's met most of them...praying to them would be...silly. Mostly, Susan believes in People. She has a dim view of them, true, but she believes that they will carry on as they do forever.
Plot: At the moment, not so much. There's an assassin wandering around who has Death of Discworld's sword, and she's trying very hard not to warn people about him because he tends to get stabby with people who've had warnings (particularly from Susan). Her mirror is gathering information on everyone and everything and, as it were, making a list of assets. Eventually she will probably kill a lot of people abruptly and without mercy.
Stipulations: I have no problem with him mentioning any of it publicly, but the bits involving Teatime should probably go by his player as well. Otherwise, go nuts. Susan will hate it, but she hates most things.
Tagging: Totally. She will be utterly unsurprised by a talking lion.

Additionally: I would be greatly appreciative if you could fill out Susan's Permissions Post.

*As for Susan's Mirror, she's mostly not human, as the name implies. I'm not sure how this would affect lion Jesus and his ability to read her, but he won't find much as far as belief or underlying issues with her. She's a sociopath/pyschopath who views anything not Eternal as disposable. And she's cool with that.
strategisch: (bloodwashed)

[personal profile] strategisch 2013-07-23 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Name: Armin Arlert | [personal profile] strategisch
Race: Human
World Information: Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan | (I pretty much explain the whole series in my app.)

SnK takes place in a world of post-apocalypse. As Armin explains in narration at the beginning of every episode, for some unknown reason, through some unknown power, mankind finally comes to meet its natural enemy: the Titan. Titans are creatures that highly resemble humans, if they were pushed into the Mariana Trench of the uncanny valley, made about 40 times bigger (anywhere from 3 to 15 meters tall), and given the intelligence of your average hamster. And what do Titans like to do best?

Eat people.

No really. That’s all they do. From what little intelligence humans have gathered about Titans, eating humans is literally all they exist for. They otherwise eat or drink nothing else—in fact they have no digestive or reproductive organs and seem to subsist entirely on sunlight. Titans eat humans because they want to. And because they feel no pain and have no intelligence to speak of, they have no fear. They will single-mindedly persist towards that goal until they are successful or ultimately killed.

Oh, and they can only be killed by severing a chunk of flesh at the nape of their necks. Nobody knows why this works, it just… does. Otherwise, Titans can regenerate their flesh over time and continue on—even after losing their entire heads.

As you can imagine, this screwed humanity right up the metaphorical arsehole. What pockets of people that were left after the arrival of the Titans fled to live in the “walls”. Somewhere, we guess in Europe, humanity scraped together the last of their resources and built three huge circular walls in which to live. Maria, Rose, and Sina. Roughly a million people live in these walls now. It’s assumed that there could be more than a billion Titans living outside of them.

It has been 107 years since the Titans showed up in the world, and since then humanity has reverted to a sort of dark age. People live simply and sparingly, education is almost non-existent, and nearly all technology is dead. Food shortages are a constant cause for concern. It’s not a very happy living situation.

There is a military defense force against the Titans. Split into the military police, wall garrison and scouting legion, they use special 3-dimensional maneuver gear (I’ll call it 3DMG) to hunt and kill Titans. But because of their walls, there hasn’t been a Titan invasion in nearly 100 years, and their skills are not what they once were.

When the wall is finally breached by a Behemoth Titan, humanity is thrown into chaos. For the first time in a hundred years humanity is again threatened by their horrible tyranny. 1/3 of their territory and a 1/4 of their population is lost. Armin's entire family killed in a thinly-disguised culling posing as an attempt to regain land.

Religion has been more or less forgotten by humanity. There is a Cult of the Walls, who worship the fortifications as blessings bestowed upon humanity by gods, but it's revealed to be a crock as the walls are really just Behemoth Titans standing shoulder to shoulder covered in their own rocklike secretions. The Cult knows this, and refuses to reveal any other information they have.

Personal Information: wikia link and my app.

Issues to Be Explored: Oh God, where do I begin? Armin's entire life is founded on trauma. His whole family was killed when he was very young. At 15 he's considered a man and a soldier but it's obvious that he's not yet that mature. He's seen his friends and comrades die brutal deaths-- and was nearly eaten by a Titan himself, narrowly saved by Eren, only to see him be devoured in his stead.

His strength comes in his ability to see light in the darkness. Armin can out-think and out-plan nearly anyone and his intelligence has saved his friends and countless others. But self esteem is not that great. He's getting better at believing in himself, but he doesn't match up to their society's standards of "strong," having never killed a Titan, and barely making it past basic training.

The things that motivate him to live and fight are his friends, and also his desire to one day see the outside world, which he has coveted since he was a boy. It's something he keeps very close to his heart as a hope that helps him stand when all else crumbles around him.

Religious Affiliation: No, he doesn't even know what a proper religion is.

Plot: No, he's still getting used to the idea of living without the fear of Titans.

Stipulations: Knock yourself out!

Tagging: Yes please!

Race: Not quite human. You know it, but I'll write it anyway |Dc He houses alien Jenova cells that have been known to destroy worlds. At the same time, he's genetically modified and has a substance known as mako running through his system. Compared to the other SOLDIERs, though, Genesis stands out because despite how twisted his humanity has been due to science, he has the blessing of his world's deity.
World Information: Final Fantasy VII | Canon Information

Also, as a bonus, Minerva and LOVELESS. Because they're a part of Genesis' faith.

Personal Information: App here.

Issues to Be Explored: GUIIIIIIIIIIIILT. Also, what meaning the goddess had for letting him live. He's still pretty mixed up about that and is pretty much convinced that she let him live to make him suffer for what he had done.
Religious Affiliation: It's not a formal religion, nor does Genesis openly worship her, but he has a very strong faith in the Goddess of the Planet. This is especially so now that he had seen her face.
Plot: Nothing in particular? Just... dealing with a lot of guilt and sadness :\
Stipulations: Go right ahead and confront him C8

Name: Elsword Sieghart | [personal profile] vitalityaura
Race: Human
World Information: Elsword | Canon Information, world-specific info is mostly a WIP still but there's some links in there too (the wiki is useless)

Elrios is a country powered by magic rocks called El Stones. Originally, it was one big rock that protected the whole country, but due to various human errors (wasting the El's power on robots, some guy trying to "rescue" the woman who kept its powers in check) it was destroyed and scattered around in tiny pieces. Life can only survive in places protected by El, and eventually an organization known as the El Scouts was formed to locate and protect El Stones so people could survive. Also demons happened, and they corrupt the El so it's evil and may or may not be trying to find the missing El Lady (the woman mentioned above who keeps El's power in check). Honestly this plot is really convoluted, but that's the important stuff.

Personal Information: Application is here, but the canon info link also has a whole ton of infodumping on Els' personal history before the events of the game and is a hell of a lot more useful at this point (thank you, retcons).

In short: son of a famous knight, both parents are dead, raised by his sister who tends to vanish for extended periods of time without warning. Sis is also a famous knight and he idolizes her to a ridiculous degree. After awhile he got sick of waiting for her to come back and became an El Scout, made some friends, had adventures, etc., etc. The last year or so of his life has mostly revolved around fighting off demon armies that came out of nowhere.

Issues to Be Explored: SISTER COMPLEX OH MAN yeah he's got... some issues there... his sister left him alone at least twice in his life, so he's got a bit of an abandonment complex from that, too. He puts her on one hell of a pedestal in his mind and sees her strength as a nigh-unattainable goal. He brags a lot about how tough he is, but really he sees himself as inferior to her no matter what he does. Also, dead parents. To top all of this off he absolutely refuses to acknowledge any of these problems in any way, shape, or form, because wow he is totally flawless and sis would be 2cool to have these problems so clearly he shouldn't have any problems either!!!

Religious Affiliation: The people of Elrios worship the El Stone itself as a deity/higher power. They also worship the El Lady as a sort of Virgin Mary figure, she gets her own fancy chapel and everything.
Plot: Nothing especially striking comes to mind, though he's involved himself with the resistance a little. He's super determined to stop the Queen of Hearts and help everyone get home, though, like a good little vidya protag.
Stipulations: He'd be super upset if anyone brought up any of his personal issues under any context, obviously, but stuff besides that is fine.

Name: Gabriel | [personal profile] lowkeyangel
Race: Archangel. And he's totally free to know it. It's gonna knock Gabe for a loop. XD
World Information: Supernatural | Canon Information

Earth, created by God, overseen by Angels. And there's a Hell and everything, manned by demons who are humans who were corrupted through hundreds of years of torture. Other people have summarized it better on this page, so.
Personal Information: Here.

Gabriel is one of four created Archangels. They weren't the first of God's creations (that 'honor' goes to the Leviathan), but they're one of the oldest and all of them are/were insanely powerful. Gabriel himself is capable of warping reality, bringing people back life, and creating objects out of thin air, among other things (see his app for more info). After Dad disappeared, leaving the Archangels in charge, and Michael cast Lucifer down to a Cage in Hell, Gabriel got tired of the constant fighting and decided to go live it up as a pagan god down on Earth. And there he stayed for a long, long time, until the Apocalypse rolled around. At first, he just wanted it to be over and for everyone to play their roles, but two irritating Winchester brothers changed his mind. Gabriel decided to take a stand for humanity against his freed big bro, Lucifer. Who killed him, but he gave Dean and Sam Winchester instructions on how to put Lucifer back in the Cage and take the Apocalypse off the rails. And after he died, he ended up in Wonderland.
Issues to Be Explored: Gabriel is a whole box of issues, a subscription, and he doesn't really like talking about any of them. His chief strategy is to run away and avoid things that hurt him, his family being number one in that category. Generally the people he loves have never prioritized him, or they leave him behind altogether. He's been separated from his family for hundreds of years and, as a result, is rather lonely. Since coming to Wonderland he's been trying to do a little better by his younger brothers, but recent events, reminding him of his mistakes, have battered him back down again.
Religious Affiliation: Gabriel deep, deep down probably still loves his Father. He might not have a choice in the matter. But God's been missing for a long time and things have been a mess in Heaven as a result, so he's very disgruntled about the whole thing. Dad loved Lucifer and Michael best (but mostly Lucifer), and then Humanity. Raphael and Gabriel got the short end of the stick.
Plot: Gabriel doesn't do much aside from occasionally pulling pranks.
Stipulations: He can, but if he gets too personal Gabriel's likely to shove him away and not deal with him, so to speak.

Race: Dragon! Which is pretty obvious. The Vikings call his particular breed a Night Fury.
World Information: How to Train Your Dragon | Canon Information

Earth. Well, you know, with dragons. During the Viking ages. That's pretty much the extent of it.
Personal Information: Here.

Essentially the dragons around Berk, the Viking settlement in the first film, were forced to get food for the big green tyrant dragon on their home turf, and they raided Berk on a regular basis to get some of it. Hiccup shot Toothless down and the two struck up an unlikely friendship that culminated in them taking down the tyrant dragon in question. His defining characteristics are his cleverness and his loyalty. He's very, very protective of his friends. In general, he sort of acts like a big, scaly cat-dog.
Issues to Be Explored: Toothless, as a dragon, really doesn't have too many issues. Hiccup has been to Wonderland and gone, so he's a little depressed about that, but overall he's just been making "Viking" friends and learning lots of new things. And eating everything not nailed down.
Religious Affiliation: None.
Plot: He's been learning to do art-y type things. That's about it, other than flying around (he has a harness that lets him fly without a rider, now) and trying to protect his Vikings as best he can.
Stipulations: Sure. Toothless is used to odd things like that happening. XD

Name: Sephiroth | [personal profile] soldierfirst
Race: somewhat human with a healthy dose of genetic tampering and alien DNA
World Information: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII | Sephiroth's wiki entry; Crisis Core wiki entry

The Planet! Which is an amalgamation of We Can't Really Decide What Even. There are mentions of angels and there's a church, but there's no active worship (though how much of that can be attributed to its location in the slums?). There's the Goddess, but her role and mythos is not clearly defined. Then we've got Summons which are more than simple spells, but again not clearly defined. The Cetra? The most we know about them is that they could "talk" to the Planet, and they're died out now (save Aerith, but let's not go there). On top of it all we have the Lifestream, which is a glowly greenish-blue SOUP OF WONDERMENT: it's where life starts and where everything goes on its death; it exists in physical form as Mako and Materia; it can be corrupted-slash-tainted by something powerful enough.

Or, to put everything briefly: it's Squeenix.

Personal Information: Sephiroth's application; I know you are canon-familiar so I won't go into details here about his life.

Issues to Be Explored: Sky's the limit! Sephiroth is just starting to learn from castmates what he truly is and what happened during and after the Nibelheim mission, so shit be goin' down, yo. Seriously though it's going to be a trying time for him both as the truth is revealed and as he learns again to deal with (read: trust) those he used to know from home.

Religious Affiliation: N/a. He has a healthy respect for summons, but I wouldn't call him devout in any sense. He does obviously know about the Lifestream and possesses the respect that most people from the Planet have, but that's about it.

Plot: Sephiroth is still settling into the setting, so he hasn't gotten up to much as of right now. I am okay with Aslan knowing about what he does get up to, however.

Stipulations: Given that Sephiroth himself is a private person and one who does not trust easily, he is very likey to be Not Happy about his business being mentioned publicly. That being said I'm sure Aslan is perceptive enough to pick up on that about Sephiroth, so I doubt that it would ICly be an issue.

Name: Doctor Jonathan Crane, AKA The Scarecrow | [personal profile] onlythingtofear
Race: Pure human.
World Information: Batman: Arkham Asylum | Canon Information

It's essentially a darker, grittier version of the DC Comic mythos. Gods, magic, aliens, demons -- it's a confusing mess, like most big comic book worlds. But Gotham, for the most part, is just really crazy people and occasionally some monsters who don't fit that mold.
Personal Information: Here.

Doctor Jonathan Crane is a psychiatrist obsessed with studying fear. His studies led to the gruesome deaths of several people before he took on his Scarecrow persona, and became it. Essentially he has a sob story, and as a result is a supervillain. His primary weapon is a chemical Fear Gas that alters your perception of reality and makes you see what you fear the most.
Issues to Be Explored: Bottom line, he's insane. He was raised by an abusive, religious grandmother after his parents died in an accident, and he later killed her out of revenge. He tends to kill whoever gets in his way, in fact. He talks in nursery rhymes and only thinks about what people fear and how he can force them to confront it. Not for their own good, of course, but for his own sadistic pleasure. He's a wild and crazy guy, you might say.
Religious Affiliation: I'm pretty certain he isn't religious, and probably looks poorly on the whole thing aside from it being a source of fear for some.
Plot: A few events ago he placed dolls and other toys around the Mansion filled with fear gas, so that they'd douse anyone with a small amount of fear gas when picked up. He's also killed at least one person and has a giant crocodile for a pet, in the basement.
Stipulations: Sure. He'll be incredibly paranoid and accuse him of reading minds. And he's only likely to go berserk if Aslan calls him by his real name. (There is no Crane, only Scarecrow.)

Name: Hector Barbossa | [personal profile] justguidelines
Race: Human, formerly undead/dead.
World Information: Pirates of the Caribbean | Canon Information

It's pretty much earth as everyone knows it, in the late 1740s. History is a bit skewed, as Port Royal, Jamaica is still around and not destroyed by an earthquake, and the Golden Age of Piracy is still rocking along. As far as religion, there's all kinds, but it turns out that some of the 'heathen' gods (Aztec, Greek, etc) are, in fact, real. So are some mythological creatures (the kraken, Davy Jones). With that, magic also works, especially things like Obeah, which is a form of voodoo.
Personal Information: Here.

Issues to Be Explored: For all the carefree mannerisms and the good-humored facade he pretty convincingly wears, Hector has a lot of issues. Really, very deep down, he's not a bad person. He doesn't mind getting his hands dirty for what he wants, but he's not and never really has been as evil as his reputation states. He has lingering issues with the curse that left him a living skeleton for ten years, and a big part of that is sensation. He wasn't able to feel while under the curse, or eat, or...Well, anything that might give any sort of pleasure, so now he's a bit paranoid about it in private. And with adjusting to modern food, it's only gotten worse in that respect, since he's having such a hard time keeping it down, and will, until his body learns to process it. He randomly touches things, especially when he's alone - whether it causes pain or not - because he'll forget one minute that he's supposed to be vigilant, and become hypervigilant the next.

He has issue with people who've been handed things their whole lives, and an intense jealousy of that life, since it's something he's never known. Everything he has, he's had to earn, so there's a great amount of bitterness. He's also a little vain. It's not over his looks, though he's a flashy dresser, but more over his mental acuity and how he's climbed his way up the ranks to become a pirate captain. For him, there's a pride in that title that someone like...Say, Jack Sparrow, who's whole family are pirates, couldn't understand.

Personal relationships, where there is real affection for another person, are hard for him. He doesn't trust easily because pirates are notorious backstabbers, and any sort of intimacy outside of the purely physical will be met with a great deal of skepticism.

There are a million more, but to keep this from getting too tl;dr: He doesn't trust other people, though deep down he has a great big heart, and will do the right thing in the end. He's hypersensitive to life in general, after the curse, and lives like he might die in the next moment. And he's got that debt from Tia Dalma/Calypso hanging over his head.
Religious Affiliation: Barbossa's has proof that there are definitely higher powers in the world, in the form of a curse, but for himself, he follows no religion whatsoever. It would be a little silly, given his profession, and he's more inclined to believe in his own strength of will than that of some 'creature'.
Plot: For the moment, no, other than his adjusting to being alive. I will return when that changes!
Stipulations: Go ahead. While Barbossa is not in any way forthcoming about personal information concerning himself, better it get out there somehow instead of assumptions otherwise.

Owen is the medical officer for a Cardiff-based secret government organisation devoted to protecting the Earth from aliens. Oh, yeah, and he died once and was brought back from the dead. Sort of. Technically. And then he died again.
Issues to Be Explored: Being terrified that he's going to leave the mansion and return to nothingness, lots of mommy issues, a whole metric ton of abandonment issues, being afraid that he'll lose anybody he cares for because that's what's happened in the past, BASICALLY ALL THE ISSUES.
Religious Affiliation: Hahahahahasfdlk;jsafasfdl;kj Owen's death has only served to cement his atheism, as he knows that there is quite literally nothing after death. Also he's met Abaddon (well, I say met, I mean inadvertently helped unleash upon the world by opening the rift in space and time that he was trapped underneath, and Abaddon is more like some sort of random evil entity rather than any sort of figure with specific religious connotations) and battled some sort of literal incarnation of Death that was unleashed by the artifact that brought him back to life.

Torchwood is weird.

Summarize- Earth, 1960, with a slight alternate history twist: in the forties, a number of the world's best and brightest--scientists, artists, architects, you name it--vanished. Where did they go? A super objectivist city under the sea called Rapture. Things get pretty dystopian, and enter Jack, an innocent plane crash victim who has to survive in a city full of raving mutants.
But is he an innocent victim, really? Spoilers: no. Further spoilers: actually, yes, kind of. Turns out his memories of home and family are false, and he's actually a vat-grown three year old sleeper agent sent to strike the final blow in history's most ridiculous turf war. Oh, and the guy he ends up assassinating? Turns out to be his father.
Personal Information: I don't actually have a link to this. But yeah, vat-grown three-year-old super-assassin under mind control, just starting to see past his false memories. Does not yet know that (SPOILERS) his closest ally/radio buddy is secretly an evil gangster, though he does have an inkling that the guy has been mind controlling him the whole time.

Issues to Be Explored: Jack has done a lot of killing, some under mind control and some not; he has a lot of guilt and mixed feelings about this. One of the guys he killed turned out to be his father, who said some really strange things before his death that Jack is still struggling with. The whole free will thing is sort of missing from his life. His entire life is fake. Basically the kid is just one big Issue.
Religious Affiliation: No. The whole subject kind of goes over his head.
Plot: Sort of vaguely investigating the two Queens in the background. Developing a friendship with a mirror (not his). Tentatively building a zip line?
Stipulations: Anything he's up to in the mansion is fair game. I'd prefer if the whole mind-control and secretly-three things stayed low profile for a while longer (I'm trying to use it to lure a castmate >.>). He's more than welcome to mention them one-on-one though.

Issues to Be Explored: Huge self-confidence issues. When her medical license was suspended after a mistake that killed a patient, she just let it lapse rather than getting back in, and she says it's because "I just didn't trust myself anymore". I headcanon that she was one of those gifted children whose identity became so heavily associated with their awesomeness that any failure feels like the end of the world to them.

Issues to Be Explored: He's kinda having an identity crisis since he isn't sure WHAT he is or where he came from or if loraxes are a race or something. So there's that.
Religious Affiliation: He doesn't have a religion exactly, but he was friends with Amaterasu when she was around so he's aware there are beings and creatures higher up on the line than him.
Plot: Just the ID crisis stuff fff.
Stipulations: Hmmm I suppose so!
Tagging: I'd love it!

Name: Vlad Dracula | [personal profile] vlad_dracul
Race: Dracula considers himself human, though he is also, of course, a vampire, nosferatu. Aslan can know, but please don't let him out Dracula. I'm working up to that. :D
World Information: Fred Saberhagen's Dracula series (books) | Canon Information

Summarize- Dracula is from Earth in the late twentieth century. His Earth is almost exactly like real life, but with the hidden existence of the supernatural.

Personal Information: Here.

Issues to Be Explored: Dracula's negative characteristics are his temper and his pride. He is however honorable and will never break a vow. He wants badly to be seen as human, to rejoin his race with the rest of humanity.

Religious Affiliation: Dracula is a Catholic, though he probably doesn't practice it in the traditional ways?

Plot: Dracula is keeping his vampirism hidden, while trying to make friends and earn trust. He suspects it is only a matter of time, before his secret is revealed. He also is studying, as best he can, the world's magic.

Stipulations: The only thing I don't want revealed is that Dracula is a vampire...oh and that he's Dracula. LOL He goes by the name Matthew Maule. :D

Tagging: Are you okay with Aslan tagging your character's posts? Absolutely! :D

Name: Cloud Strife | [personal profile] animusangelus
Race: Mostly human, though he has gone through a number of experiments involving Jenova cells.
World Information: Final Fantasy VII | Canon Information

Gaia is a lot like Earth only it has something called the Lifestream girdling it and Magical powers (in the form of Materia) are used on a daily basis - especially in battle. A lot has happened to the planet since Cloud was a young recruit for the Shinra power company. A great calamity called Jenova nearly collided with Gaia. Without the aid of Cloud and co. (plus Aerith), the world would have likely been destroyed. However, they were able to stop it just in time.

Unfortunately they were unable to foresee some of the consequences. One of the consequences was the Geostigma - the body's reaction to Jenova cells. The disease was quite painful and it only worsened over time. Cloud spent years trying to find a cure for one of the kids in his care, but it wasn't until the arrival of the Remnants that he finally understood how to cure it. Upon defeating Kadaj (who turned into Sephiroth), Cloud - who had already been in contact with Aerith and Zack from the Lifestream - realized that the one who could - and would - cure the disease was Aerith. She sent a rain down that washed the Geostigma away.

Since then, things have been relatively quiet. (Though, of course, Cloud doesn't know about the events of the Dirge of Cerebus yet.)

Personal Information: Here.

His history is long. I don't think I could summarize it adequately - at least not beyond what I wrote above.

Issues to Be Explored: He carries a lot of guilt on his shoulders. Even though Aerith and Zack have forgiven him for the past, he is determined to not make the same mistakes again. Sometimes that desire makes him seem rude or standoffish when really, deep down, he has someone else's interests at heart.

Religious Affiliation: I don't think so? There is a church in Midgar, but I don't know if it was ever affiliated with one religion or another. It seems like most Gaians believe in the strength of the planet.

Plot: He is watching his friends like a hawk. Aslan might notice him patrolling around.

Stipulations: Cloud would rather not talk about his past. There are things Aerith, Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis don't know and he would like to keep it that way.

Race: Human
World Information: Doctor Who | Canon Information

Summarize- It's basic 2010 earth. In 2008 there was that little prisoner zero incident. And Amy travels through all of time and space.
Personal Information: App

Issues to Be Explored: Amy's big thing is being abandoned and waiting around. She's doing better with it now. She might be going for a canon update if her husbando apps in, so we'll see!
Religious Affiliation: To the Doctor :|a
Plot: Not especially!
Stipulations: However much you'd like!

Name: Aziraphale | [personal profile] manicuredangel
Race: Angel
World Information: Good Omens | Canon Information

It's Earth. The world is pretty much as the bible described. It's only 6,000+ years old and there are angels and demons. The apocalypse nearly happened, but Aziraphale and Crowley (a demon he is sort-of-friends with) helped stop it.

Personal Information: Here.
Issues to Be Explored: He worries about whether or not he does the Right Thing from time to time.
Religious Affiliation: He's an angel, so he doesn't really follow a religion.
Plot: The only thing he's doing in the house is trying to find a way out.
Stipulations: The only thing Aziraphale really would prefer is that it not become widely known as an angel. He'd very much like to remain under cover, thankyouverymuch.

Name: Chell | [personal profile] donttestme
Race: Human
World Information: Portal | Portal Wiki

Summarize- Essentially, Earth. I think it's been officially state that it's not part of the Half Life universe (where Some Shit went down, I hear), but it's otherwise unknown if there's been any disasters or humanity-ending-what-have-yous out there. The game mostly takes place in a huge science facility underground, so it's kind of unknown what's happened topside.

... But other than that, we can say it's Earth. :D

Personal Information: Here's her app.

Uh, there's something of a summary there, but basically she can't remember what childhood she had, if any, she may have been adopted to someone who worked at Aperture, put in stasis for a long time, forced to do tests (puzzles with a portal gun) by a homicidal computer, accidentally plugged in a worse computer into the homicidal computer's control room, teamed up with homicidal computer to fix that mistake and ~maybe got to leave~ (she's taken from riiiight before the end of the game).

Issues to Be Explored: Her trust issues are obvious enough for basically everyone to pick up on. Between only having GLaDOS to talk to (... listen to), and the isolation and not remembering much of her normal life (if she had one), Chell's lacking in some social skills, and is reluctant to trust people or open up to anyone. She's... worked on that a little, and has opened up to and trusted to exactly one person.
She's also deciding whether she wants to go back to her world or leave Wonderland for somewhere else, if it's possible (since she doesn't know if GLaDOS actually let her go or just sent her to a room full of turrets). However, if you offer to spoil the end of Portal 2 for her, she'd decline, so that's out as a solution. XD;;
Religious Affiliation: Pretty apathetic towards religion.
Plot: Not particularly, as of late. XD
Stipulations: Given Chell's trust issues, it's probably not a good idea to mention this stuff about her to the network as a whole. If it's to the few friends she has, and it's better that they know it, then go for it.

Name: The Disreputable Dog | [personal profile] justadog
Race: Currently a dog. Previously (and currently), one of the Bright Shiners of her world
World Information: Old Kingdom | Canon Information

Though it borders on Ancelstierre, which is pretty much like the real world circa the early 1900s, the Old Kingdom is more like a separate dimension, though one where travel between the two is relatively easy. In the Old Kingdom, there are two types of magic - Free Magic, which is older and ingrained in the world, and Charter Magic, which draws on the great Charter that was woven in the beginning by the seven Bright Shiners. Free Magic can allow the Dead to cross back into the lands of the living, and is also corruptive to humans. Charter Magic is 'safer', and involves drawing on marks from the Charter to perform pretty typical magical effects.

The Dog is essentially a creature of Free Magic, but she wears a Charter marked collar and can command both.

In terms of world-shaking events, the Destroyer, an entity bound back when the Charter was first created, has been partially freed, and the Dog, along with her companions are attempting to stop it from being freed completely.

Personal Information: I think her app's the best for this

Issues to Be Explored: She certainly doesn't think she has any issues, but she does have some - her desire/need not to be known for what she is being the major one. Especially when it conflicts with her ability to protect those she cares about.
Religious Affiliation: Well, she's devoted to Lirael. In terms of religion, do gods really need to believe in themselves?
Plot: Not currently. But I'll try to remember to update this if anything happens.
Stipulations: I'm okay with him hinting that she's more than just a talking dog. But nothing more than hinting. I figure they'll probably talk this out at some point.
Tagging: Please :)

tl;dr girl's got problems

[personal profile] screeee 2013-08-28 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Name: The Traveler/Big Sister | [personal profile] screeee
Race: Genetically modified human (incidentally, by something called 'ADAM' which is fuelled by EVE)
World Information: Bioshock (There's Something in the Sea) | A timeline of Rapture (which covers Bioshock 1 and 2 *u*;) (also this relates more directly to the Traveler, at least in terms of what she is.)

Summarize- It's Earth, but
- A super objectivist guy managed to found a city called Rapture at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean ruled by the free market and the great chain and 'no gods no kings only man' and blah blah stuff that went over my head when playing the games.
- More importantly, with no governments to regulate things like safety and quality and human rights, this thing called 'ADAM' is developed, which basically rewrites your cells! It also mutates/kills/etc your cells too, so if you can't keep up with your splicing and ADAM doses you mutate and go crazy. ADAM was produced by sea slugs, but production rates were much higher if these sea slugs where implanted in the stomach lining of little girls, and then further ADAM could be gained by having these girls run around drinking the blood of dead ADAM users and 'recycling it'. For some reason.
- other plot stuff happens but that doesn't matter because that's protagonist business, and Big Sister is something like a miniboss or somesuch. Basically she's an ADAM gathering girl, but is a little warped and superpowered herself from absorbing some of that ADAM she drank and produced.
- I kind of strayed off point, which is: Earth, technically speaking, but Traveler's come from a place with 'no gods no kings only man', so...

Personal Information: Here's her app!

As stated above she's a grown-up-gatherer. She takes orders from a much nicer leader named Sofia Lamb, and if those orders happen to be 'kidnap children from the surface so we can put sea slugs in them', then that's what she does.

However, she does seem to bond with one of the girls she brings down - or maybe the efforts of her father to get his daughter back grabs her curiosity - but she ends up sending messages from the daughter to her dad, and kind of leads him on a hunt for Rapture. That's gotta break some rules, but she does it anyway.

Issues to Be Explored: oh man where do you start
- Well uh she's a little girl who was brainwashed into stabbing corpses with a needle and drinking the fluids, so, she has some problems there.
- But primarily, she's concerned with people abandoning things/people they're supposed to protect, and while she hasn't gotten close enough to anyone here to be hurt by their leaving her, if things get to that point, uh, there'd be that, too. She herself was abandoned by her protector when she grew up, and that's still a sore point for her. As she realizes she can't get out of Wonderland, she's going to get hard on herself for essentially abandoning her charge, even if it was involuntary.
- She's also really really bad at handling her emotions. She tends to express them... Violently. Granted, they're mainly anger or sorrow, but...
- She's still got something of a childlike mind under that pointy metal and emotional volatility. Including a sense of curiosity! So y'know, if she saw Aslan she wouldn't react immediately with violence, just saying.

Religious Affiliation: nnnnmmmmmhmmmmm technically, none. Comes from a place that sort of villainizes religion (and government and i guess altruism too).

Plot: We-e-ell, when I said she took someone's daughter and passed messages to their father, yeah, that was Mark Meltzer, who is also in Wonderland. From her canon point, Mark was down in the undersea city, so when she saw him on the surface, she was not happy. Presently she's trying to get him to go back to the underwater city, having not quite grasped that they're in a different world entirely.
So that's working itself out. IDK if Aslan could/would/should get involved? But that's a thing going on if Aslan wants to talk to someone involved about it.
Stipulations: Can Aslan mention any of the above information publicly?
Iiiiii'd hold off on telling everybody about Traveler's origins and past, but if certain people ask he can give them some hints? He can talk about her, but he can't give the whole thing away, if that makes sense? I'm working at revealing the 'she used to be a little sister' thing at my own pace, but once that's in the open it's fair game. Everything other than that is ok to talk about!

Tagging: Yes please!

slkdhja;lkshg this was too freaking long, but if you have questions or want me to summarize something clearer I could do that yes. ;u;'
