Elrios is a country powered by magic rocks called El Stones. Originally, it was one big rock that protected the whole country, but due to various human errors (wasting the El's power on robots, some guy trying to "rescue" the woman who kept its powers in check) it was destroyed and scattered around in tiny pieces. Life can only survive in places protected by El, and eventually an organization known as the El Scouts was formed to locate and protect El Stones so people could survive. Also demons happened, and they corrupt the El so it's evil and may or may not be trying to find the missing El Lady (the woman mentioned above who keeps El's power in check). Honestly this plot is really convoluted, but that's the important stuff.
Personal Information:Application is here, but the canon info link also has a whole ton of infodumping on Els' personal history before the events of the game and is a hell of a lot more useful at this point (thank you, retcons).
In short: son of a famous knight, both parents are dead, raised by his sister who tends to vanish for extended periods of time without warning. Sis is also a famous knight and he idolizes her to a ridiculous degree. After awhile he got sick of waiting for her to come back and became an El Scout, made some friends, had adventures, etc., etc. The last year or so of his life has mostly revolved around fighting off demon armies that came out of nowhere.
Issues to Be Explored: SISTER COMPLEX OH MAN yeah he's got... some issues there... his sister left him alone at least twice in his life, so he's got a bit of an abandonment complex from that, too. He puts her on one hell of a pedestal in his mind and sees her strength as a nigh-unattainable goal. He brags a lot about how tough he is, but really he sees himself as inferior to her no matter what he does. Also, dead parents. To top all of this off he absolutely refuses to acknowledge any of these problems in any way, shape, or form, because wow he is totally flawless and sis would be 2cool to have these problems so clearly he shouldn't have any problems either!!!
Religious Affiliation: The people of Elrios worship the El Stone itself as a deity/higher power. They also worship the El Lady as a sort of Virgin Mary figure, she gets her own fancy chapel and everything. Plot: Nothing especially striking comes to mind, though he's involved himself with the resistance a little. He's super determined to stop the Queen of Hearts and help everyone get home, though, like a good little vidya protag. Stipulations: He'd be super upset if anyone brought up any of his personal issues under any context, obviously, but stuff besides that is fine. Tagging: why would I say no to this it's lion jesus
