Name: Anya Lehnsherr | [livejournal.com profile] fridgetothefire
Race: Totally human, but related to mutants.
World Information: a marvel one-shot what-if | her app is the best info on the web for her world, really, it's obscure

Summarize- It's earth, with marvel mutants and superhero stuff, but most of it is still secret in Anya's world.
Personal Information: Here.

Anya is raised by two traumatized holocaust survivors barely out of their teens in rural Soviet Ukraine. When she's four years old, they try to move to the city, but a mob is frightened by her father's - Magneto's - powers and burns down the inn where they're staying, with Anya trapped inside. Magneto saves her life but becomes brutal and paranoid, declaring stealthy war on humanity. After the fire they move to the mountains and live in his forming military/terrorist base, and Anya never meets anyone outside of family and followers. Anya is human, to his disappointment, but her brothers and sisters are not, leaving her unwanted, bitter, and slowly growing more desperate, more despairing, and more cruel.

Issues to Be Explored: Anya is from an early canonpoint, when she is very much still capable of being saved, before she starts to really go off the deep end and start plotting the deaths of her family, but the potential to fall into that path is still very present. Also, although being in port is doing wonders for her ability to hope and be happy, she still has a lot of deep loathing for herself - as an insufficient human - and for basically everyone else. She thinks mutants/superpowered people are all corrupted by power and cruel to those weaker than them, and she thinks humans without powers are all afraid of what they don't understand and likely to hurt anyone threatening or different. Just realizing *anyone* is strong and compassionate and trustworthy would be difficult but incredibly significant for her.

Religious Affiliation: Vaguely Jewish, with a few Romani superstitions, but it's more cultural than spiritual.
Plot: so far she's behaving
Stipulations: He can know this stuff, and talk to her about it, but she's a private person and would feel hurt/betrayed if he told anyone else, so I'd rather he didn't. Also rather he didn't let her or Magneto know about the other being in port, since we have other plans in progress about their eventual reunion.
Tagging: Definitely!
